Only downside is that it doesn't come with a digital sound connection, you can get one from EPoX (if you can track down the part) or you can easily make your own. The built in graphics are fast enough for most games though not at full settings. NVidia support Linux drivers as well as Windows but their licensing means that you have to download them separately which is very annoying and makes setup much harder than it ought to be for begginers. Furthermore, 5.1 sound output seems pretty impossible and even Knoppix can't get sound to work on bootup! So be warned, NVidia are NOT Linux friendly! | Make sure that you do use the Windows driver listed, others do not work correctly with Windows/XP. There are also Linux drivers for this even though it is a "win printer". A good printer in its day, especially for really crisp text even on plain paper. Not so good for photo's and the ink is expensive. | |||||

| Firmware: Unknown. To update the firmware on this drive requires that it is connected as the MASTER of the SECONDARY IDE channel. As my setup has it as a SLAVE, I can't be bothered to change it all around. The latest available version I checked was 1.33 (Feb 2001) which I probably have anyway. | |||||
