Reviews Background and Overview

I have wanted to put together a reviews site for some considerable time because so often goods and services fall well short of reasonable expectations let alone personal hopes.

Obviously I am not trying to replace or duplicate the work of other sites but I do want some place to put information about goods and services that I have either used or heard about so that others can see what is good, bad or indifferent.

I am also keen though that other people have the chance to participate so I would welcome any submissions you would like to make. For now, please use the email information on the contacts page - I will be putting together something easier and better when I get time.

This section will be split in two parts: Services and Goods

Services Reviews

This will concentrate on shops, services and trades people in and around the Sheffield area initially (unless others let me have reviews related to their locations. Although I will also include mail order services and organisations from other places I've been to. I am sure that I am not alone in getting considerably anoyed by people and organisations that fail to behave with the most basic courtesy let alone customer service, however, I do not want to simply concentrate on the bad but also to reward the good as well.

"Things" Reviews

The title says it all really, this will be comprised of reviews of "things" that either I've brought or had first hand experience of - unless, again, others would like to contribute.

How will the reviews be structured?

It is my intention to put all of the reviews into a database so that it can easily be searched. It will also be filterable so that sub-sets of the data can be included in some of the other sections. Each review will detail the service or good being reviewed, the experiences, the pluses/minuses and contact details. Each review will also invite feedback from the people or organisations related to the review and I will stick to the facts rather than speculation or drawing any conclusions.
